Such an advanced system means that there is no down time if on-site conditions change to beyond the inbuilt tolerances of the initial installation settings as alterations to pumps and valves etc. can be made remotely, thereby allowing continued optimisation of the remediation process.  All data is stored in a database to increase knowledge and understanding of the system dynamics. 

Safety is increased as automatically triggered alarms can lead to emergency shut-downs which are simultaneously alerted to the ‘on patrol’ supervisor.
